Where the Franciacorta story began
The year 1961 is central to Berlucchi and to Franciacorta: it marks the first traditional-method sparkling wine made in the area. The ’61 range carries that date in its name.
Bottle fermentation, extended lees ageing and precise work with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir remain at the heart of the house style.

Glacial hills below Lake Iseo
Franciacorta lies south of Lake Iseo. Glacial soils, warm days and cooler currents from the Alps allow Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to combine ripeness with firm acidity.

Winemaking with purpose
Gentle pressing and fermentation in steel preserve freshness. The blend includes 10% reserve wines aged in oak. Secondary fermentation in bottle is followed by at least 24 months on lees; lower pressure gives Satèn its creamy texture.
